Lights Farm.
Middle Burgate.
A proposal to transform previously developed land and redundant buildings into a residential community, with energy efficient homes and new public green space.
A vision for a modern community
Lights Farm in Middle Burgate is a proposal to transform underused land and redundant buildings into a new residential area. The plans draw on the area’s agricultural character and include both traditional and contemporary homes.
The proposal includes public green space, new footpaths and cycleways, trees, hedgerows and areas for natural play. The plans also set out how the site would connect with Fordingbridge, local schools and bus stops.
Energy efficient homes
The proposed homes are designed to use modern building techniques and fossil fuel free heating, including air source heat pumps.
Green space for everyone
Currently inaccessible land would open up for recreation, with footpaths, trees, hedgerows and natural play areas.
Planned with care
Ecology, flood risk and drainage have been assessed as part of the proposal, alongside routes for walking and cycling.
